Major Core Web Vital Factors
Currently, there are three major Core Web Vitals factors, namely:
LCP or the Largest Contentful Paint – LCP measures the site speed. Faster loading sites have an excellent LCP score. The ideal LCP value should be less than 2.5 seconds.
FID or the First Input Delay – FID measures the time taken by the visitors to take action. The higher the time taken, the poorer the FID score. The ideal FID score should be less than 100ms.
CLS or the Cumulative Layout Shift – CLS measures the total layout shift before the page loads and after the page has finished loading. The ideal CLS score should be less than 0.1.
How To Optimize Your Website For Core Web Vitals?
There are two ways to optimize your site for the Core Web Vitals.
The first step is to identify the URLs that are causing the issue. To find out the pages having LCP, FID, or CLS issues, visit the Search Console dashboard, navigate to Experience, and click on the Core Web Vitals tab.
Click on Open report, and you can see the type of issue affecting your site.
Click on it, and you will see some example URLs that have the problem.
Prepare a list of all such example URLs.
In the second step, enter the URLs one by one on tools like the Page Speed Insights. This tool will share some recommendations to fix the Core Web Vital issues.
You can also use the Finteza Lighthouse report, an advanced Core Web Vitals optimisation tool that identifies all the weak spots of your site impacting the user experience.
The best part of the tool is that it is beginner-friendly, unlike the Page Speed Insights tool.
Using the Finteza Lighthouse report tool, you can evaluate your site’s performance, the accessibility of your site and apply the SEO best practices to improve your target pages rankings in the organic search results. The tool offers recommendations to fix all the performance issues affecting your site.
